Periodontal disease is one of the most common disease in oral cavity, which is the reason of defect of dentition second only than dental caries. It results in junctional epithelium turn root periodontal pocket emerge, tooth mobility, aversion and amotic. Among the total, the alveolar bone shrikes to root can not reversible. At present, there is not an ideal healing method in the word. But by tissue engineering method, culture and amplification periodontal ligament cell in vitro, then inoculate the cells in 3D scaffold, and intervene to defect areas will augment periodontal attachment regenerate and shorten the healing time. Therefore, the method has wide perspective. The key issue in periodontal tissue engineering is to Study and find the ideal three -dimensional framework and optimize the periodontal ligament cell culture system in vitro. Objective: The article is to observe the effects of shuanghuangbu(goldthread, skullcap, rhizome drynariae) on the proliferation and differentiation of human periodontal ligament cells (PDLCs), and The silk proteinum were investigated to evaluate the feasibility of it as an ideal scaffold material of periodontal tissue engineering. It also provides the evidence of the scaffold material choice in periodontal Tissue engineering.
