Objective To investigate the applicable value of real-time gray-scale contrast-enhancement ultrasonography(CE-US) in evaluatingintervention therapy response of hepatocellar carcinoma..Materials and methods 45 patients with 33 primary hepatocellar carcinoma and 12 hepatic metastases were enrolled in this study. 10 patients with liver cancer received Percutaneous ethanol injection therapy(PEI),18 patients received Transcatheter arterial embolization therapy (TAE) ,4 patients received Percutaneous microwave coagulation therapy(PMCT),7 patients received Radiofrequency ablation(RFA),4 patients received TAE and RFA therapy,2 patients received TAE and PMCT therapy.First of all, a baseline US of the liver, using the gray scale and color Doppler flow imaging(CDFI) was performed to identify the focal liver lesions and diagnosis was made according to the location, size, shape, number, and echo features of the lesion. When the suspected lesion was identified , the contrast-specific mode was initiated and a low mechanical index (MI< 0.09)was selected to avoid disrupting microbubbles .After a venous bolus injection of 2.4ml of SonoVue at a strength of 5mg/ml, contrasted image was used to study lesion enhancement in the... |
