| Objective: To investigate the changes of spinal cord pathology and free radials indexes before and post rats untethering spinal cord ,and time influence on the indexes,initially approaching the effet of untethering spinal cord.Materials and Methods: 50 wistar rats which 21 days after parturition were selected and divided into two experimental groups(group A and group B) and a control group randomly. There are 20 rats in group A and group B respectively, while 10 in control group. group A was divided into group Al(rats were all killed 7 days after tethering operation)and group A2(rats were untethered 7 days after tethering ,and were all killed 4 weeks after untethering operation)randomly, and there were 10 rats in each group, group B was divided randomly group Bl(all were killed 21 days after tethering operation)and group B2(rats were untethered 21 days after tethering, and all were killed 2 weeks after untethering operation),and there were 10 rats in each group. While feeding on the rats, Tarlov scales were used to assess behavioral function of hindlimb. After the rats were killed, some of lumbo-sacral spinal cord was carried out HE staining and Nissl's body staining.
