[Objective]This study observed the germicidal efficacy and organism, temperature influential factors of compound ortho-phthalaldehyde, and evaluated the metal corrosion, toxicity. The study was conducted to examine the effect of compound ortho-phthalaldehyde on the ultrastructure of Mycobacterium chelonei subsp.abscessus in order to elucidate the bactericidal mechanism of compound ortho-phthalaldehyde, meanwhile, the leakage of proteins and DNA were detected.[Methods]1 Experimental methodNeutralization tests and suspension quantitative germicidal tests were respectively conducted by compound ortho-phthalaldehyde against Bacillus subtilis var.niger, Mycobacterium chelonei subsp.abscessus, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Candida albicans. In order to know the properties of compound ortho-phthalaldehyde, organism influential test, temperature influential test, antirusting agent influential test, capacity test, metal corrosion test, acute oral toxicity test of mice and cumulate toxicity test were conducted. The bactericidal mechanism of compound ortho-phthalaldehyde was investigated by observing the ultrastructure changes of Mycobacterium chelonei subsp.abscessus killed by compound ortho-phthalaldehyde, and detecting the leakage of proteins and DNA.2 Statistic methodsThe bacterial count alive of experiment groups and control groups was transformed by logarithm, and the logarithm reduction was used to represent the germicidal efficacy. Th repeated measure ANOVA was used to deal with the datas of germicidal efficacy and influential factors of compound ortho-phthalaldehyde by SPSS11.5 for Windows, and the trend of data was analysed by Excel 2003.
