Clinical Application Of Artificial Joint Hip Replacement For Femoral Neck Fracture In Elderly Patients

Objective: The clinical assessment of artificial hip joint replacement for femoral neck fracture in elderly patients. From studying the clinical observation and the complication of the artificial hip joint replacement, we learn how to preventing the complication and how to selecting types of the artificial hip for femoral neck fracture in elderly patients.Methods: Between 2003.01~2005.8 , hemiarthroplasty (HA) and total hip replacement (THR) were performed in 78 elderly patients in our hospital,Which had acute femoral neck fracture(GardenⅢ,Ⅳtypes). In clinical asessment and following-up, the Harris evaluation method was used in clinical assessment of artificial hip replacement. The database was established when all data inputting the computer, thus we use t or x2 examining the difference in the HHS for different artificial hip replacement. If p<0.05,the statistics are valuable.Results:1.1 Following-up the 78patients,28male, 50female, age 60~94 years,average age71.6 years, The hemiarthroplasty was used in 41 patients( 13 unipolar HA ,28 bipolar HA) and total hip replacement(THR) was used in 37 patients. Among them 36 patients received cemented HA or THR, 26patients received hybrid HA or THR。16patients received uncemented HA or THR. Among the Artificial hip, 40 artificial hip joints were made in china (such as Beijing Tianyifu, plus, lidakang ),others were imported from different countries (such as link,snake).1.2 Complication: Following-up the 78patients,who had acuted femoral neck fracture, there are 3 cases the fat liquefaction near the slice(3.85%), 3 cases femoral fracture (3.85% ), cases DVT(7.69%),1 case myocardial infarction(1.28%),2 cases bedsore (2.56%),4 cases infection of lung(5.13%) 2 cases the sciatic nerve paralysis(2.56%).
