As a new method to treat tumors and other diseases, high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) has been accepted in clinic. But in clinic, especially when treating deep tumors, large tumors, and liver tumors which were hampered by rib, it always needs longer time for HIFU treatment. Through experimental study, it is confirmed that changing the acoustic enviroment of the tissue is a relative safe and effective method to improve the treatment efficiency of HIFU and decrease its complications. In the previous studies it has been found that, as one of exogenous enhancers to HIFU treatment, nano-hydroxyapatite (nano-HA) can be intravenous injection to get to animal liver, and be profit to enhance the treatment efficiency of HIFU impressively. However, the incidence of adverse effects of intravenous medication far exceeds other medications, thus limiting the clinical application of drugs. In our experiment, we choose hydroxyapatite crystal, which size range from 0μm to 20μm, to local injection in liver, to confirm the effect of application of hydroxyapatite...
