Correlation Analyses Between The Criminological Characteristics And The Capacity Of Criminal Responsibilities For Patients With Mental Retardation

Objective: The study was on the relationship between the criminological characteristics and the capacity of criminal Responsibility for patients with mental retardation(MR) . The value of social function was estimated in criminal responsibility assessment of mental retardation ,in order to provide the scientific evidence.Method: The record scale of forensic psychiatric assessment designed by ourselves was used to collect , to arrange and analyse the data of 114 offenders of MR, and to compare the criminological characteristics between mild MR group and moderate ,severe MR group. At the same time, the criminological characteristics of sex offenders and no-sex offenders were compared . The Spearmen correlation was used to analyse the relationship between criminal responsibility and these criminological characteristics. The multipal logistic regression was used to analyse the correlated factors of criminal responsibility in patients with MR. The Spearmen correlation was used to analysis IQ ,GAF and the rating scale of the intellectual disability for adults. The Kappa test was used to analyze the concordance of IQ ,GAF , the rating scale of the intellectual disability for adults and the capacity of criminal responsibility in order to estimate the value of social function .
