Objective: To study the 5-year survival rate and main factors that influence the survival time of the patients with Non-small cell Lung cancer(NSCLC). Methods: From 1995 to 2000 , the 87 patients who came from the thoracic surgical department of The Tumor Hospital affiliated to Xin Jiang medical university were followed up study for 5 years. Survival Rate in 5 years were analyzed by Life table. Kaplan-Meire law carries on single factor analysis, adopt log-rank law to examine 11 influence factors which have statistics differences to patient's survival rate (a=0.01) or not; The influence factor analysed by single factor analysis which had the statistics difference was analysed with Cox multifactor regression model. Result: The survival rate is 83.4%, 47.4%, 33.4% , 29.7% , 24% respectively in patients with non-small cell lung cancer from 1 to 5 year. The median survival time was 23.14 months. Single factor analysis showed that male patients whose tumor sizes was bigger or not bigger but involved the peripheral tissues (or structure) and long distant lymph nodes transfer were the main dangerous factors that influenced the survival time of the patients with non-small cell Lung cancer in 5 years. Surgical operation ,chemotherapy and radiotherapy were the chief protect factors in analysing. The sex, operation way, lymph nodes transfer and pathologyical staging in multi-factor analysis were important factors influencing 5 years surviving by stages. Conclusion: it may relates to the fact that the patient of non-small cell's lung cancer survived in 5 years with pathologiocal stages that the sex , operation way , lymph nodes are shifted.
