Objective:This study aims to investigate the multi-drug resistance reversal effects of microwave hyperthermia on the human breast cancer cell line MCF-7/ADM and the multi-drug resistance reversal mechanism.Methods:Establishing the ADM resistance Cell culture model , Resistance Index(RI)and Reversal Index were detected in human breast cancer cell line MCF-7/ADM , the expression levels of P-gp,MRP mRNA were determined by Real-Time PCR.Results:41.50C microwave hyperthermia can inhibit the proliferation of human breast cancer cell lines MCF-7/ADM and MCF-7, increase the intracellular concentration of ADM in the human breast cancer cell lines MCF-7/ADM,at the time points of 4,24,48 hours after microwave hyperthermia,the expression levels of P-gp,MRP mRNA were significantly inhibited.Conclusions: Microwave hyperthermia can reverse the ADM resistance of human breast cancer cell line MCF-7/ADM.The mechanism is probably associated with down-regulating the expression levels of P-gp and MRP.
