The etiology of recurrent spontaneous abortion is often unclear and may be multifactorial. Reasonably accepted etiologic causes include, genetics, anatomical, endocrine, infection and immunoregulatory protein defects. However, the majority of cases of RSA remains unexplained and is found to be associated with certain autoimmune and alloimmune antibodies that may play major role in the immunologic failure of pregnancy and may lead to abortion. Anticardiolipin antibody (ACA) is association with RSA. Pregnancy is a hypercoagulation state. In vascular and microvascular of maternal-fetal interface thrombosis can lead to abortion complication pregnancy. The studies of recent years indicate that arteries thromboembolism of placenta bed lead to fetal insufficient and villous necrosis, which is one of important reasons of RSA. Thrombophilia is inter-reason of placenta microthrombus development, blood hypercoagulability is related to RSA development. Disorder of coagulation and fibrinolytic systems can lead to recurrent abortion.
