Glaucoma is the second leading cause of blindness in the world. Many factors play important roles on the occurrence of glaucoma. Intraocular pressure(IOP) elevation is one of the major risk factors and higher outflow resistance of aqueous outflow lies in the juxtacanalicular region of the trabecular meshwork(TM). Accordingly, the anatomical integrity of the trabecular meshwork is necessary to guarantee correct aqueous drainage and the maintenance of adequate intraocular pressure .The morphological and structural changes undergone by the trabecular meshwork have frequently been related to the elevation of intraocular pressure .Foreign scholar found that nitric oxide synthase(NOS) is high in the trabecular meshwork, ciliary muscle and Schlemm'canal of the normal human. Nitric oxide(NO) is catalyzed by nitric oxide synthase. Various stimulation induces the significant increase of nitric oxide. NO and superoxide(O2-) are known to rapidly react to form the stable peroxynitrite anion(ONOO-). ONOO- decomposition generates a strong oxidant with reactivity similar to hydroxyl radical. Many research have found that nitric oxide has frequently been...
