Chronic pharyngitis is the infection of the pharynx. It is a very commondisease, and it is often caused by catching cold, smoking, consuming large amount of alcohol. With the worsing environment, and people's life paceincrease, the number of people who get chronic pharyngitis will becomebigger. Chronic pharyngitis impacts people's health, work and lives, so someexperts in TCM have recognized the advantages of TCM for treating chronicpharyngitis.Because of the disadvantages of TCM traditional dosage forms, newdosage forms are needed for TCM. Recently, with the development of TCMpreparations, the application of droppills has been paid more and moreattention and becomes a promising TCM preparation. Compared withtraditional dosage forms, droppills have larger surface area, faster solublespeed, accurate dosage, easier absorption and are more convenient for beingtaken.We have established the best extract conditions, orthogonal experiment.The active principles, toadfish lactone, total glucosides of arctium andtotal flavone of scutellaria were obtained and purified. Droppills was madeby solid dispersion technics with the bases of PEG6000 and dimethyl silicone asrefrigerant, which has established the optimum moulding technics.It conformsto the standard of the Chinese phafmacopoeia while the rate of droppillsattained was higher. The experiment has adopted the TLC approach to assurethe quality of the research. Meanwhile, we have adopted the colorimetricmethods and HPLC method to carry out the quantity analysis of the droppills,acquiring the result by measuring the content of toadfish lactone , totalglucosides of arctium and total flavone of scutellaria, arctiin and baicalin,cinobutagin and resibutogemn, this helps us to control the quality ofBangqinmanyanning droppills.Thereby, this experiment provides scientific basis for production, thestandardization of berbs and preparations were established.
