Objective: The aim of the study is to investigate the inhibitory growth effect of Lb-f on human colon cancer xenograft in nude mice and the influence of Lb-f on immunity function in mice. Methods: Therapeutic trial of human colon cancer xenograft in nude mouse model was used to investigate the growth inhibition of Lb-f on human colon cancer xenograft in nude mice. The method of clearance of carbon particle and thickness augment of voix pedis and the assay of antisheep akaryocyte agglutinin antibody titer were used to observed the regulation effects of Lb-f on cell immunity and humoral immune function in KM mice. Results: Lb-f significantly inhibited the growth of human colon cancer xenograft in Balb/c-nu mice in a dose-dependent manner. The growth inhibitory rate of xenograft treated with Lb-f at 180 mg/kg ,360 mg/kg and 720mg/kg was 63%, 79% and 83% respectively. The weight inhibitory rate of xenograft treated with Lb-f at 180 mg/kg ,360 mg/kg and 720mg/kg was 44%, 49% and 71 % respectively. Lb-f could enhance the cellulur phagocytize function of mononuclear phagocytic system in KM mice in a doze-dependent manner. The value a of corrected clearance index of carbon particle treated with Lb-f at 180 mg/kg ,360 mg/kg and 720mg/kg was 2.3928±0.3941,3.4092±0.1711,4.5036±0.2157 vs 1.9350±0.8839 respectively. Lb-f could enhance the thickness difference of voix pedis of mice in a doze-dependent manner. The value of thickness difference treated with Lb-f at 180 mg/kg ,360 mg/kg...
