The advantage of fuzzy mathematics is that they can do further division to middle transition stage which assembled to be " yes " and "no " area. The purpose of the study was to introduce the fuzzy set theory to orthodontics to helps us make proper diagnosis in the borderline case. We tried to preliminary research the methods of quantitative measurement of clinical experience. Methods: This study collected 153 case from the permanent Angle ClassI malocclusion patients, 157 case from the permanent Angle Class IImalocclusion patients, 120 case from the permanent Angle Class IIImalocclusion patients.
