Nowadays, the need and demand of health service both have changed with the adjustment of economic structure and the change of income plane. Thus the health resources can be only allocated properly based on need, demand and utilization of health service, then make most of its efficiency and meet people's need of medical service mostly. Health System Responsiveness is one of the three goals that assess how well a health system does its job and it is a measure of how the system performs relative to non-health aspects.This paper is one part of the Health Service Investigation on residents in Weihai, It analyzed the status of hospitalization utilization and its responsiveness form the consumer aside, so as to provide reference for meeting the residents' hospitalization demand better and improving the Health System Responsiveness.The investigation covered three cities and one district. Multiple stratified cluster sampling method was used .8600 households, 20395 residents were investigated in total. All the data was recoded by institute of Social Medicine and Health Services Management of Shandong University firstly, then input into the computer, finally analyzed by Spss13.0 software package after being combed. Frequency, ratio and proportion were used in the descriptive part; and x2 test, Mann -Whitney test ,and Logistic Regression were used in the Statistic test part.The paper included the following main contents: 1.The general information of the household numbers: such as gender, age, marriage, education, job and so on.2.The economical condition of the family, medical expenditure, health care system, etc. 3.The chronic-sickness condition one-half year before the investigation. 4.
