Periodontitis is one of the two common disease and frequently-occurring disease of oral. It is the most important factor lead to teeth defects .The incidence of periodontitis is comparatively high in the world range, the incidence of periodontitis is higher than caries in our country. With the extensively spread of oral health knowledge, more and more people pay close attention to oral health and periodontal care. Periodontal regeneration is expected to reconstitute the injured tissues of the periodontal attachment apparatus physiologically and functionally, including alveolar bone, cementum, and periodontal ligament. Traditional periodontal therapy and guided tissue regeneration failed to fulfill the goal. Although tissue engineering adds new road to repair the bone defect, it still exist some abuse. Gene engineering has been introduced into the field of periodontology, which bring new expect. Recently, some scholar put forward the local gene delivery technique. Which overcome the shorting. Periodontal ligament cell (PDLCs) is a group heterogeneity cell with multi -directional differentiation potential, It can be differentiation to fibroblast, osteoblast or cementoblast. It is the main cell of periodontal regeneration. Bone Morphogenetic Proteins is a cytokine family which has many functions, It exist in the hard tissue of human and animal extensively, It can be induce new bone formation. Bone morphogenetic protein-2 (BMP-2) is a kind of strong bone-inducing factor and plays...
