In our country, the equity of health services is one of central tasks of current health system reform, and assurance to the obtainment of equal and effective health services for everyone in society is one of the government's important goals in health. The governments and their researchers of every country pay attention to the methods to improve the equity of health services and carry out the extensive study. Many researches have been done in our country, but most of them use certain a socioeconomic factor to analyze. A variety of socioeconomic factors are rarely integrated into the studies. However, urban and rural areas in our country have obvious distinctions on the economy development. It is exceedingly necessary to conduct the study of equity of health services of urban and rural residents.The main purpose is to analyze health services equity of both urban and rural residents in the different socioeconomic status, to find the effect of socioeconomic factors to the equity of health services and the difference of the effect between urban and rural citizens in Weihai, to propose to raise the socioeconomic status and to improve the equity of health services for citizens in urban and rural areas, and give evidence to the development of social economy coordinated with the citizens' health status.8062 households and 20409 persons in Weihai City were selected randomly for the household survey by stratified-cluster sampling. And the households were divided into 5 groups for the equity analysis according to the different socioeconomic status. The main contents of the study includes: 1) To describe and compare the different socioeconomic health equity of both urban and rural residents in the different socioeconomic status; 2) To compare the equity of health services utilization of urban with the equity of rural citizens in different socioeconomic status; 3) To analyze the equity of health financing of urban and rural citizens in different socioeconomic status; 4) To provide the policy advice based on the analysis above. Results:1.
