| Objective:1. to explore the relation of the clinicopathological characteristics and lymph node metastasis of early gastric cancer(EGC).2. To explore the prognostic factors for the survival rates of EGC.3. to analyze the prognostic factors for recurrence of EGC.4. to determine the appropriate extent of lymph node dissection for early gastric cancer.Methods:1. data collection:collected 161 cases of patients with EGC being treated in our department from 1979-2004 by correspondence, telephones and outpatient following-up visits.2. statistics methods:all data were analyzed by SPSS 11.5. the statistics methods used include Binary Logistic, life table, Kaplan Meier and Cox Regression. A P-value of <0.05 was considered to be statistically significantResults:1. the clinical diagnosis of EGC was 6.0% in our department. the 5 and 10 year survival rates of patients with EGC were 90.7% and 89.8% respectively.2. Using univariate analysis, depth of invasion ,lymphatic involvement, tumor size and histological type showed a significant effect on lymph node metastases. Multivariate analysis of all patients identified depth of tumor infiltration and histological type were independent risk factors for lymph node metastases.3. Using univariate analysis, depth of invasion , lymph node metastases, lymphatic... |
