| Objective:Cancer is a major disease which affects people's health and life severely. The Traditional Chinese Medicine has an inimitable effect on tumor. One of the Traditional Chinese Medicine's characteristic is diagnosis and treatment based on the overall analysis of symptoms and signs, which means herbalist doctors may choose quite different therapeutic principles and the homologous prescriptions based on different symptoms and signs despite the same tumor. And, they usually gain the well-pleasing effect. But, so far, the mechanism hasn't been clarified. In order to explore the mechanism, this study researched several prescriptions by using Flow Cytometer and Serum Pharmacology. Materials and Methods:Wistar rats were divided randomly into eight groups. The rats in each group were took different decoctions to prepare pharmic rat serum. Then the BGC-cells were cultured in using the rat serum. Next, indexes such as MTT, apoptosis and telomerase activity were tested and analysed. Results: (1) Compared with normal group, pharmic serum groups showed significant inhibitory growth of BGC cells. And the inhibition is remarkably increased as we increase the concentration or prolong the time. (2) There was significant increase of apoptosis rate as we affiliate the pharmic serum to the cells'system. (3) The levels of telomerase activity were lower after the BGC cells were cultured in pharmic serum. Conclusions:pharmic serum groups showed significant diferrence in the area of inhibiting growth of BGC cells, increasing of apoptosis rate and reducing the telomerase level. Yet the rates in the three areas were not so identical. |
