Objective To provide anatomic data of middle hepatic veins (MHV)and its Major branch for Hepatectomy and Liver transplantation.Methods 32 corrosion cases of human liver have been dissected MHV trunk and tributaries larger than 5mm, to study the rate of forming a common trunk both MHV and left hepatic vein (LHV), the number of tributaries larger than 5mm which has been observed .Results we have observed that there are 18 cases (56.3%) forming a common trunk both MHV and LHV In the 32 cases, and 14cases (43.7%) inflowing inferior vena cava (IVC) respectively. There are 5 cases (15.6%) which are not larger than 5mm tributaries in the segment IV, and 19 cases(59.4%) which are 1 branch, 6 cases (18.8%) which are 2 branchs, 1 case (3.1%) which is 3 branchs, 1 case (3.1%) which is more than 3 banchs. There are 2 cases (6.2%)which are1 branch in the segment V, and 13 cases(40.6%) which are2 branchs, 11 cases (34.4%) which are 3 branchs, 6 case (18.8%) which is more than 3 banchs.
