Expression Of CD40 And Theapoptosis-Induction Effect Of Recombinant CD40 Ligand On Ovarian Cancer

Objectives: To test the expression of CD40 molecule in ovarian cancer and the correlations of CD40 molecule expression with clinical stage, pathologic grades and histological types, and evaluate the effect of recombinant CD40 ligand (CD40L) on inducing apoptosis of fresh human ovarian carcinoma cells which grown in the native situation.Methods: The expression of CD40 of ovarian cancer was detected by immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry as well. The correlations of CD40 molecule expression with clinical stage, pathologic grades and histological types were also analyzed, and the effect of inducing apoptosis with recombinant CD40L (Ad-CD40L) on ovarian cancer cells was examined using flow cytometry and TUNEL assay.Results: The expression rate of CD40 on ovarian cancer by Immunohistochemical staining in archived tissue was 60.34%, which was significantly correlated with clinical stages (P<0.05), but not with pathologic...
