| Work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WRMDs) are a group of common work-related diseases, including the injuries and symptoms occurred in various parts of musculoskeletal systems, among which Low Back Pain (LBP) is the most common one, followed by neck and shoulder diseases. WRMDs are the main reasons for debasing of workforce among 20~55 year-old working population, injuring physical health, weakening working ability and debasing life quality. In recent decades, over half of working population have been suffering from WRMDs. WRMDs have become the main healthy problems in nurses, of which LBP is the most outstanding one. There are many occupational and non-occupational factors related to WRMDs in nurses, and LBP has aroused extensive concerned as a serious effects on health and work of nurses in Europe and America countries. Therefore, it is necessary to study the prevalence of WRMDs in domestic nurses and its possible influential factors, providing scientific evidences for prevention and treatment of WRMDs.This research is a cross-sectional investigation. Subjects of the study were selected by cluster sampling. The sample included 400 nurses, who had worked for 1 year or over 1 year from 3 hospitals in one city. 315 qualified questionnaires were returned.
