Efficacy And Safety Evaluation Of Imatinib In The Treatment Of Patients With Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors In High Risk Of Recurrence And In Advanced Stages

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of imatinib in the treatment of adult patients with Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) in high risk of tumor recurrence and in advanced stages .Methods non-randomized control trial was adopted for the study. patients with GIST in high risk of recurrence were divided into study group and control group, patients of study group orally administrated with imatinib 400 mg daily for 12 months; patients with GIST in advanced stages were orally administrated with imatinib 400 or 600 mg daily for 12 months.
