| Objectives: To guide the clinical practice, the paper is to investigate the treatment of advantage, disadvantage, and indication by improved retroperitoneal laparoscopic ureterolithotomy compared with open ureterolithotomy. Methods: The twenty one cases by retroperitoneal laparoscopic ureterolithotomy and 20 cases by open ureterolithotomy were reviewed retrospectively. Results: No serious complications occurred during intraoperation and postoperation in all cases, and remote complications would be observed. Compared with open ureterolithotomy group, the time of operation, of intestinal functional recovery, of usage of antibiotics after operation was shorter in group of retroperitoneal laparoscopic ureterolithotomy (P<0.01), and the time of drainage-tube and urinary catheter extracted was no significant difference (P>0.05), and the hospital stay was less (P<0.01), and the total hospital cost was more (P< 0.01). Conclusions: with technological improvement, the retroperitoneal laparoscopic ureterolithotomy showed certain advantage as safe and effective mini-invading operation. Compared with open ureterolithotomy group, its indication was equal, and may replace parts of open operation, and there was certain popularized value. |
