PURPOSE The aim of the study were to assess the value of adenosine and adenosine combined atropine stress echocardiography in diagnosis of coronary artery disease and to determine the sensitivit specificity ad accuracy Methods Adenosine was injected in 50 suspectable coronary artery disease patients using total dose of 140μg/min/kg in 6 min.If can not attain the target heart rate after using the maximum dose of adenosine,Adding to inject 0.5mg dose of atropine .Left ventricular wall motion and pressure, heart rate were recorded during the procedure.Positive criterion was defined as the apperance of wall motion abnormality(WMA) .The patients were performed by coronary artery angiography within a week.Positive criterion was defined as the at least one branch of three main coronary artery has the stricture of more than 50%,taking the angiography as the golden standar ,Calculating the sensitivity, specifity and accuracy of Adenosine Stress Echocardiography In Diagnosis Of Coronary Artery Disease. Results There were 28 coronary artery disease cases out of 50 patients whom were diagnosed by the angiography, Adenosine Stress Echocardiography was positive in 23 out of 50 patients;Adenosine combined atropine stress echocardiography was positive in 26 out of 50 patients. The sensitivity of Adenosine Stress Echocardiography was 78.5%,The specificity was 86.4%; The sensitivity of Adenosine combined atropine stress echocardiography was 85.6%,The specificity was 77.7%.Conclusion denosine stress echocardiography in diagnosis of coronary artery disease can be safetly performed with hige sensitivity and specificity, side effects due to adenosine infusion were always minimal and well tolerated by the patients and disappeared within seconds after termination of infusion.
