Acupuncture supportive system is a supportive program for diagnostics and therapy, using the approaches of acupuncture. It is designed based on the principals and techniques of database and CAD. With its properties of suggestiveness and flexibility and thus its great efficiency of instant information support, it successfully helps to solve complex problems existing in diagnostics, increase the efficiency and veracity of diagnostics and implement efficacious therapies.In the early days of 80s, many researchers began to devote themselves into the field of computer supportive system designing and manufacture for diagnostics. Many outstanding supportive systems for acupuncture were produced in that upsurge. Nevertheless, with the development of medical sciences, acupuncture supportive system that used the solo mode has failed to catch up the pace since more and more limitations were presented.This article aims at discussing the application, development and prospective of the new generation of Brower/Server mode in the acupuncture supportive system combined with the latest information technology, and its fulfillment.The new system introduced in this article is completed mainly by the programming tools of Visual C++.Net, SQL Server, etc. under the environment of Windows.On the basis of a specific problem, detailed processes and the relevant techniques used will be described at length in this article. The properties of this system and the prospective development and application will also be summarized in the conclusion chapter.
