Objective To estimate the effect of dietary and movement therapy in treating simple obese children. Methods Forty-one simple obese children and adolescents who were members of the "2007 Nutriease Summer Camp"adopted dietary and movement therapy. The body weight.body mass index(BMI),blood alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase (AST),triglyceride (TG),cholesterol (TC).fasting plasma glucose(FPG) , and fasting pure insulin(FINS) were checked, the homeostasis model assessment for insulin resistance(HOMA-IR) was calculated and the B Type Ultrasonic Scan was administrated before(group A) and after(group B) the therapy. The difference between the two groups was compared and the relationship of all indexes was analyzed. Results The values of the body weight,BMI,AI_T,AST,TG,TC,FINS andHOMA-IR of group B were significantly lower than those of group A(P<0.05~ P<0.001), while FPG is not.The severity of fatty liver of group B was significantly alleviated than that of group A (P<0.05).The values of BMI was significantly positively correlated with the values of ALT,AST and TC(P<0.05~ P<0.001),while the values of HOMA-IR was significantly positively correlated with the values of TG and FINS.ALT was positively correlated with body weight,BMI,AST,TG,TC and FPG and AST was positively correlated with body weight,BMI,ALT,TG and TC.The severity of fatty liver was significantly positively correlated with the values of BMI,ALT,AST and TG(P<0.05~ P<0.001).Conclusion Dietary and movment therapy, with behavior intervention can get an appearant result in treating simple obesity in children even in a short time.
