Objective:To study the expression and clinical significance of Cyclin A and CDK2 in colorectal carcinoma. Methods: The paraffin-embedded tissues of 30 surgically resect ed clocrectal carcinomas verified by pathology and the corresponde nt ajacient normal tissues were obtained from the department of pa thology of the second affiliated hospital of NanChang University, i ncluding 17 male and 13 female, Their ages ranged from 25 to 74 ye ars with a mean of 50.9. All patients were not given preoperative chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Using the streptavidin-peroxidase(SP) immunohistochemical method to examine the expression of Cyclin A a nd CDK2 in colorectal carcinomas and in normal colorectal tissues. Two kinds of second antibody were used:anti-Cyclin A ( Mouse monoc lonal antibody, NeoMarker, diluted 1:40 ), anti-CDK2 ( Mouse monoclona 1 antibody, NeoMarker, diluted 1:50).Results:In the normal colorectal tissues, there were 3 cases wi th positive Cyclin A expression, 27 cases with negative expression, The positive rate of Cyclin A in the normal colorectal tissues was 10%;In the colorectal carcinomas, there were 15 cases with positive Cyclin A expression, 5 with strong positive expression and 10 with negative expression, The positive rate of Cyclin A expression was 6 7% in colorectal carcinomas Which was significantly higher than th at in normal colorectal tissues; In the normal colorectal tissues , there were 2 cases with positive CDK2 expression, 28 with negative expression , The positive rate of CDK2 In the normal colorectal tis...
