Diagnosis And Treatment Of Infection After Total Knee Arthroplasty

Objective to investigate the diagnosis of the infection and the management after total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Methods from April 2003-December 2006, 4 cases infected of 275 cases 312 knees after TKA were analyzed retrospectively in diagnosis and treatments. Results after treated by by antibiotics, debridement and replacement, all of X cases were cured. Conclusion Simple debriment, antibiotics, and one or two stage revision can be done after infection of TKA. Two stage revision has a better result for re-replacement.
