Pharmacological Studies On The Sedative And Hypnotic Effect Of Salidroside

Sleep is the important link of organism amendment, integratingand solidifing the memory, sleep also is the obbligato ingredientof health.Following the accelerating of modern social life andunceasing improvement of people life press,The sleep disorderbecome hackneyed disease and the simultaneous phenomenon ofmany kinds of disease.The chemistry synthesizing sedativehypnotics have variety side effect.Therefore, from the traditionChinese herbal medicine sieving sedative hypnotics of smallpoison side effect have become the main path of developingsedative hypnotics.The purpose of this research is theobservation of hypnotic effect of salidroside by behaviorpharmacology and nerve electricity physiology research method.The results showed that salidroside could obviously shortenthe sleep latency and prolong the sleeping time of mice producedby pentobarbital sodium (55mg/kg, i.p.). Salidroside producessignificant sedative-hypnotic effect. The dose-effect relationshipis remarkable, we adopted the experimental method of PSG andelectric stimulation to tempt the insomnia of rats. Through theanalysis of EEG, we assumed effect of salidroside on the sleepphase of insomnia rats.The results expressed that Salidroside canprolong sleeping time of insomnia rats.
