ObjectivesThis study was performed to observe the state of distribution of the chinese medicine syndrome in the disease of epilepsy, and the relativity of the sex, age, course of disease, type of attack and cause of disease with it. Simultaneously, approch the relativity of the state of blood current,the function of blood clotting,electroencephalogram with the chinese medicine syndrome. And it will offer more clinical evidence for the traditional medicine prediction,treatment in epilepsy. In order to offering abasical date for perform a diagnostic guide.MethodsDesign a information—collection table according to the Evidence Based Medicine and the epidemiologic data. Collect the information of the average state and the information procured from four physical exaainations of the epilepsy. And produce the data—base to analyse the primary chinese medicine syndrome in the disease of epilepsy. At the same time discuss the state of distribution of the syndrome in the disease of epilepsy, also the relationship between sex,age,course of disease,type of attack,cause of disease the state of blood current,the function of blood clotting,electroencephalogram and chinese medicine syndrome.Results1. Clinical epidemiology expressed that. man is easier in stricking by this disease, and essential ep-ilepsy is often finded in younger, attacking time ismore shorter, course of disease is more longer than elder, while secondary epilepsy is finded in elder, the attacking time and the course of disease are longer and shorter. 2. There are 4 type of the chinese medicine syndrome: the impatency of anemogenous phlegm, the interal occlusor of pyrophlegm, the pyrophlegm the deficiency of heart and spleen, the deficiency of liver and kindey. 42.4 %is deficiency of heart and spleen syndrome, 20.6%is deficiency of liver and kindey syndrome, the missing syndrome is the main type of all medicine syndrome. Wind and sputum are the factors through all procedures in attacking. At the same time stagnant blood is related with the disease of epilepsy.3. The rate of deficiency of heart and spleen syndrome is larger , when patient is younger: Meanwhile the rate of deficiency of liver and kindey syndrome is larger, when patient is elder, especially when he or she is above 20. The interal occlusor of pyrophlegm is more commonly in essential epilepsy, and the deficiency of liver and kindey is Secondary epilepsy. The type of seizures have a close relationship with the type of chinese medicine syndrome. The deficiency of liver and kindey is the main type. of chinese medicine syndrome in general rigid-clonic seizures, and deficiency of heart and spleen syndrome is the main type in simple partial seizures.
