Objective: To examine MAL gene expression of esophagus cancer and its other obliquetones mucous membrane, study the significance of MAL gene expression in esophaguscancer development, and to discuss the relevance between MAL gene expressiondecline and the esophagus cancer pathology by stages, the histology graduation.Material and method: To examine the MAL gene expression in 45 examples esophaguscancer organization and its other oblique tones mucous membrane by RT-PCR and semi—quantitative RT-PCR, and to carry on the statistical analysis unifying the clinicalpathology parameter of esophagus cancer.Result: The qualitative RT-PCR result indicated that, the MALmRNA expression in 40examples esophagus cancer organization was obviously lower than the correspondingesophagus mucous membrane nearby the cancer. In middle of, 28 examples had notexpressed the MALmRNA, 12 examples were weak expression. At the same time,MALmRNA was completely positive expression in 45 examples mucous membranenearby the cancer organization. Semi-quantitative RT-PCR result indicated, theMALmRNA relative expression level has statistics difference between the esophaguscancer organization and esophagus mucous membrane(P<0.05); The MALmRNAexpression level had nothing to do with the esophagus cancer patient sex and the age; butalong With clinical stages and histology graduation advancing, its expression levelremarkably reduced (P<0.05); MAL gene expression inⅠissue patient was remarkablyhigher than that inⅢissue patient (P<0.05).The MAL gene has statistics differencebetween having the organization that the lymph node changes to express organization, both changing lower than there being no a lymph node (P<0.05); Scheduled time patient's MAL gene expressing simultaneous result is demonstrated, I is notable overtopⅢexpectpatient (P<0.05). The MALmRNA expression level in Lymph node shift N1 group wasremarkably lower than that in the lymph node shift negative No group.Conclusion:1 The low expression and the expression flaw of MALmRNA in primaryesophagus cancer was higher than that in the mucous membrane nearby the cancerorganization, this indicated that MALmRNA played a certain role on the esophaguscancer occurrence and development. 2 In the esophagus cancer, there was the relevancebetween the MALmRNA relative expression quantity and the histology graduation and soon the clinical pathology factor, so the MALmRNA relative expression quantity may bethe reference to judge esophagus cancer malignant degree and the shift potential.3 Toeximinate MALmRNA expression, semi—quantitative RT-PCR on the qualitativeexperimental foundation was more accurate and credible than pure qualitativeexperiment. 4 The relation between MALmRNA and the esophagus cancer occurrence isclose. To study the gene furtherly will provide the new mentality for the esophagus cancerearly diagnosis and the gene treatment.
