| Objective: To investigate interleukin-18 and interferon-γlevel in vulvar lichen sclerosus patients' serum, and the relativity between them in pathogenesis. Methods: Based on 1987 vulvar lichen sclerosus diagnostic standard issued by International vulvopathy research association, 30 female vulvar lichen sclerosus patients were chose, from 20 to 64 ages, the media age is 35.5 ; 30 physical healthy females were chose to be normal group, from 20 to 53 ages, the media age is 36.5. The level of interleukin-18 and interferon-γcan be measured by double antibody sandwich enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. Two groups of interleukin-18 and interferon-γin blood serum were compared to study their activities in vulvar lichen sclerosus pathogenesis and the relativity between them. Results: Vulvar lichen sclerosus patients' interleukin-18 in blood serum98.81±19.38(pg/ml) is obviously lower than normal group 202.21±58.20(pg/ml), P<0.01, has statistical significance The interferon-γin blood serum 0.52±0.36(pg/ml) is obviously lower than normal group4.81±2.38(pg/ml), P<0.01, has statistical significance . The level of interleukin-18 and interferon-γin patients group shows Pearson coefficient of product-moment correlation r=-0.495, P>0.5, has no statistical significance. In the outbreak procession of illness, interleukin-18 and interferon-γhave unconspicuous relativity. Conclusion: Vulvar lichen sclerosus patients' interleukin-18 and interferon-γin blood serum are low(P<0.01) . A series of cellular immunoreaction inhibiting effect caused by lower level make an important action in vulvar lichen sclerosus pathogenesis. And there is unconspicuous relativity between interleukin-18 and interferon-γ(r=-0.495, P>0.5). |
