Aim: Osteoarthrisis is a kind of familiar disease in medium-old people, The knee joint is constitute by three rooms, and patellofemoral joint is an important part of it.The aim of the present study is to compare the two types of surgery (the cleaning of knee joint by arthroscope (including the decompression of patellofemoral stress region) and the cleaning of knee joint by arthroscope (being short of the decompression of patellofemoral stress region)) to cure the OA and to evaluate the curative effect of the decompression of patellofemoral stress region by arthroscope. Methods: The experimental objects were selected in our department who were troubled by OA and needed surgeries. We divided these patients into two groups at radom. The experimental group were treated by the cleaning of knee joint by arthroscope (including the decompression of patellofemoral stress region). The control group were treated by the cleaning of knee joint by arthroscope (being short of the decompression of patellofemoral stress region). The HSS were used to evaluate the patients'knee joint, and patella test were used to evaluate patellar ac tivity. Selecting the two-group patients'clinical data before and after surgery. The data of the two groups before and after the surgery were analysized by paired T-test. The data among the two groups were analysized by Chi-square. The pain and function were respectively analysized using independent T-test. The results of the two groups of patella test were tested by constituent ratio. Statiscal analysis was performed with SPSS 10.0 software. A value of P<0.05 was considered significant.Results1 Comparision of the whole function of knee jiont between experimental group and control group1.1 The data from before surgery of the two groups were significantly different compared with the data after suegery of the two groups, and significant differences could be found, P<0.01.1.2 There were no differences between the data from the patients before surgery. But There were significant differences between the data from the patients after surgery. And the data show the type of surgery applied in experimental group is more effective than the type applied in control group.2 Comparision of pain and walking function of knee jiont between experimental group and control group2.1 There were significant differences between the data of the pain from the experimental group and the control g roup, P<0.01. The average level of the experimental group was higher than the control group.2.2 There were significant differences between the data of function from the experimental group and the control group, P<0.01. The level of the experimental group was higher than the control group.3 Comparision of patellar activity between experimental group and control group3.1 The data of patella test of the experimental group: before surgery the data of 0-1 block were 83.3% and the data of 2 block were 16.7%; after surgery the data of 0-1 block were 16.7% and the data of 2 block were 83.3%.3.2 The data of patella test of the control group: before surgery the data of 0-1 block were 80.0% and the data of 2 block were 20.0%; after surgery the data of 0-1 block were 80.0% and the data of 2 block were 20.0%.Conclusions1 The cleaning of knee joint by arthroscope (including the decompression of patellofemoral stress region) has significant curative effect and is worth popularizing widely.2 The cleaning of knee joint by arthroscope (including the decompression of patellofemoral stress region) can improve patellar activity.
