| Light propagation along human meridian was measured based on the principle and measurement technique of tissue optics, and the new idea for studying the property of human meridian by the optical method was presented in this thesis. Firstly, the development status and actuality of research on meridian were briefly introduced and the method of research on meridian by the principle and measurement technique of biomedical optics was given. Secondly, noninvasive measurement technique for the optical properties of human tissue was introduced and it can provide the theory basis and science foundation for the measurement of light propagation along human meridian. The retrieve method for the optical properties of biological tissue close to source was given. It was used to retrieve the optical parameters of biological tissue and the high fitting precision was obtained. Therefore it can provide the algorithm basis for measuring the optical property of biological tissue close to source, such as human acupoints. Finally, the experimental protocol for noninvasive measurement of light propagation characteristics along human meridian was established and the experiment was measured on fifty volunteers in vivo. The optical transport properties along pericardium meridian and non-meridian direction were computed and compared. The results showed that light attenuated less propagating along the meridian direction than non-meridian direction. The absorption coefficient and the reduced scattering coefficient of meridian were smaller than those of non-meridian. Moreover, the spectrum property of meridian differed from that of non-meridian. The research results were meaningful for interpreting the physical-chemical characteristics and material basis of meridian. |
