Discussion About Syndromes And Treatment Of Traditional Chinese Medicine On Psoriatic Arthritis

Objective:According to the theory of Chinese medicine and Chinese-western combined medicine,the research systematically probes into the effect of dialectical decoction for the psoriatic arthritis. Methods: We observed 35 patients of psoriatic arthritis from 2004 to 2006. Among them 20 cases were given decoction served as the treating group,while the control group contained 15 cases, prescribing with Methotrexate.Treat for 2 months and inquire for 3 months to observe the symptoms,laboratory indexes and reverse reaction. Results:There are not significant differences between two groups in total effective rate,syndrome curative effect,clinic symptoms,joint function and laboratory indexes.However, recurrence numbers of treating group are less than control group. Conclusion:It is testified that the theory of dampness,heat and toxin leading to the syndrome is right. The treatment of clearing heat and toxic material,eliminating dampness and removing the obstruction in meridians for psoriatic arthritis is effective.
