ObjectiveThrough examination of 152 compound myopic astigmatism patient's higher orderaberrations, discussion compound myopic astigmatism characteristic. It can choosetraditional LASIK surgery for the patient, or the wavefront aberration guided cuttingprovide individualized basis. To estimate visual effects after clinical excimer lasercorneal refractive surgery.Methods1.Randomly selected prepared for the excimer laser corneal refrative surgery of152 eyes with compound myopic astigmatism. Simultaneously chose 20 natural eyesand 60 myopia eyes for the control group. It was divided into three groups according tothe different astigmatism degree. A group: astigmatism degree was from -0.50D to-1.50D, B group: astigmatism degree was from -1.75D to -2.75D, C group:astigmatism degree was more than -3.00D.2.The American production company Bausch & Lomb aberrometer checked foraberrations of the root mean square (RMS) value.3.Application deviation SPSS 11.0 statistics package for statistical analysis, usingthe t-test group of compound myopia astigmastism and normal eyes and myopia groupto group higher order aberrations, and compare different levels of astigmatism higherorder aberrations RMS value.Result1.The compound myopic astigmatism group and the normal eyes group and the myopic group's 3-5 step aberration RMS value compares: There is no significationcorrelation in RMS3 and RMS5 results between the compound myopic astigmatismgroup and the myopic group, but there is statistical significant between the compoundmyopic astigmatism group and the normal eyes group.2. Mild myopia group with different degree of astigmatism 3-5 order aberrationson RMS values are compared, there is no significant difference.3. In the moderate myopia group, there is a significant difference that RMS3 valueof B group (astigmatism degree is from -1.75D to -2.75D) and C group (astigmatismdegree is more than -3.00D) than A group (astigmatism degree is from -0.50D to-1.50D) and RMS4 of C group than A group.4. In the severe myopia group, there is statistical significant that RMS4 of Cgroup than A group.5. In the compound myopia astigmatism group of different myopia degree group,the different astigmatism degree patient's RMS5value has not be seen the difference.Conclusion1. 3rd order coma aberrations in the myopia and astigmatism group is bigger thanthe other two group. 4th order spherical aberrations is higher than the naturalgroup ,but is similar to the myopia group.2. When the myopia degree is in the range from—3.00D to—6.00D and theastigmatism degree is higher than—1.75D, 4th order aberrations is increase.3. Spherical aberrations are bigger than others when myopia degree and theastigmatism degree are all higher than—3.00D.
