1: Study on the Fingerprints of Leonurus Injection with Capillary ElectrophoresisLeonurus Injection, containing effective components extracted from Leonurus heterophyllus Houtt., has effects on promoting blood flow and regualting menstruation.Recently, fingerprints study has been applied for integral quality control of traditional medicines and their preparation, as its integral and fuzzy. In this study, capillary electrophoresis fingerprints (CEFP) method of Leonurus Injection was established to control its quality more scientifically. Primary study as follow: (1) Test solution Preparation; (2) Optimization of electrophoresis conditions such as capillary model, detection wavelength, buffer kind, buffer pH, injection volume and capillary temperature; (3) Validation of the methodology; (4) Analysing 12 batches Leonurus Injection, and then establishing Leonurus Injection standard fingerprint. A CEFP was obtained marking 18 major common peaks; (5 ) Examination of relationship among Leonurus Injection, intermediate and crude drug. The method has good precision and resolution, and it may be applied for production quality control of Leonurus Injection.2: Study of rat urine profiling from normal and inflammatory disease model using capillary electrophoresisMetabonomics, which is a systematic approach for understanding metabolic responses to different stimuli, has demonstrated significant impact on many research fields such as toxicological mechanisms, disease states, and drug discovery. This paper described the development and application of a simple, effective and reliable capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) method for studying figerprints of rat urine samples, allowing for separation of approximately 50 urinary analytes in 20 min. The methodology proved good intensity and stability were achieved. Combined with a Computer Aided Similarity Evaluation System(CASES) based on principle component analysis (PCA) data processing, with no prior knowledge of target compounds, it was successfully applied to discriminate healthy rat urine samples from inflammatory rat urine samples. Results indicated evident trends in clustering of heathy rat urine samples separately from inflammatory ones. Physiological variation factors as gender, individual diversity, day-night diversity, diurnal variation were investigated and to be demonstrated no evident influence on profiling diversity. Sample preparation was very simple that only need high-speed centrifugation to remove suspended matters. The method might be a alternative for metabonomic fingerprint study of encouraging extension inflammatory rat urine samples .
