[Objective] To observe the difference between HRCT and CT image reconstruction of the temporal bone structure and assess their diagnostic value contrasted with operative findings.[Methods] (1)Choosing 50 cases of chronic otitis middle , to examine them with high resolution CT (HRCT) and be contrasted with operative findings. (2) Choosing 20 cases of chronic otitis middle, to examine them with CT image technology:high resolution CT (HRCT),surface shaded display (SSD) and multi-planner reformation( MPR) for the ossicle and the curved face reconstruction(CPR) for the facial nerve and semicircular cannal, then contrasting them with operative findings. (3)With the gold standard—the operative findings, collecting and analysing data, and then draw the conclusion of them examining value.[Result] The accuracy rating of HRCT,SSD,MPR to examine the malleus separately is 82.20%,97.5%,97.5%; to examine the incus separately is 89.27%,96.67%,99.99%; to examine the staps separately is 61.02%,65%,85%. The accuracy rating of HRCT,CPR to examine the facial nerve separately is 72.28% and 90%, to examine the semicircular canal separately 72.28% and 100%. About reflecting the overall ossicle, MPR more clear and accurate than SSD than HRCT.[Conclusion]①To examine the overall ossicle, the sensitivity and specificity of MPR is much better than the last two, so as the accuracy;②About reflecting the overall ossicle, MPR more clear and accurate than SSD and HRCT , The diagnostic value to stapes of the three image technology are all not better enough, MPR is better than SSD and HRCT; ?To examine the facial nerve, the technology of CPR better than HRCT; ?It should not draw the conclusion for CPR ever in examining semicircular canal.
