Purpose non-invasive quantified research on CSF circulation variation andthe clinical significance of CSM.Methods Using Cine pc-MRI technology,30 patients with CSM and 30healthy volunteers are measured with CSF dynamic index involving peakvelocity and flow waveform at C1 level, the correlation of CSF flow velocityamplitude and JOA scores are also researched. Results In the CSM group, the cranial-caudal peak flow velocity is 1.874±0.519cm/s at C1 level, the caudal-cranial peak flow velocity is 0.829±0.471 cm/s.Inthe control group, the cranial-caudal peak flow velocity is 3.385±0.906 cm/s,the caudal-cranial peak flow velocity is 1.501±0.598cm/s,the difference of thetwo groups has statistical significance (P<0.01).It is demonstrated a highcorrelation between the JOA scores and flow velocity amplitude at C1level (r=0.525 ,p=0.003<0.05, n=30) .Conclusion There is high correlation in turbulence of CSF flow and severityof Myelopathy, velocity measurement may quantify the degree of dural sac andspinal cord compression.
