The Clinical Research On Tongchang Decoction Promoting The Restoration Of Gastrointestinal Function After Partial Gastrectomy

Objective: To observe the clinic effect of Tongchang decoction (a prescription of traditional Chinese medicine) to promote the restoration of gastrointestinal function after Partial Gastrectomy and observe the clinical symptom and common conditions of the patient in order to probe into the functional mechanism of Tongchang decoction to promote gastrointestinal motivity. Methods: 50 surgical patients were included in this study, which were furtherly divided into treating group and control group randomly, and treated with regular modern medicine before and after the operation. One group (31)was treated to drop Tongchang decoction through the Liquid-capsule Jejunum Tube, while the other group(19) was treated with 0.9% Sodium Chloride through the tube.The time of the restoration of gastrointestinal function were observed in both groups. At the same time the level of blood Motilin on the 6h,24h,48h,72h after the operation were observed and the clinical symptoms and physical sighs on the 6h,1d,2d,3d after the operation were evaluated. Result:1.The intestinal voice restoration time, first anus exhausted time and defecation of treating group were shorter than those of control group, which statisticaly shows significant difference (P<0.01). 2.The level of blood Motilin of both groups were higher after the operation. And the treating group shows more efficiency than control group. 3. The total score of clinical symptoms and physical signs in treating group were obviously lower than those of control group, which showed significant difference (P<0.05). 4. Symptoms like abdominal distension were greatly improved after treatment and there were no complication and side effect. Conclusion:1.Tongchang decoction could shorten Partial Gastrectomy patients'intestinal voice restoration time, anus exhausted time and defecation time after operation.2.Tongchang decoction can stimulate Gastrectomy patients'body to send Motilin. 3.Tongchang decoction could obviously promote patients'clinical symptoms and common condition classification and grade relative to control group. 4.Tongchang decoction could promote gastrointestinal function restoration.
