Evaluation Of The Value Of Integrated Visual And Auditory Continuous Performance Test To Children With Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

ObjectiveAttention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD)commonly emerges in the preschool years(about in the 3 years,old).ADHD is a disorder of inattention,impulsivity,and hyperactivity.Because ADHD is short of etiology or pathobiology changing which is indentified.ADHD is diagnosed mainly by scales in which there are question for parents or teachers to answer.for the past few years,with the development of medical technology,there are more diagnostic method and technology to diagnose ADHD,which is to do offer objective evidence for ADHD.There are many researches that CPT is an assisted tool for effective diagnosis of ADHD in the domestic and abroad.IVA-CPT is one of CPT.The article is to explore the value of applying integrated visual and auditory continuous performance test(IVA-CPT)at diagnosis on children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD)for different agesMethodsThere are 309 cases of children who came from department of developmental pediatrics,shengjing hospital for inattention,hyperactivity or failure learning.Putting DSM-â…£as gold standard,309 cases of children from ADHD were tested by IVA-CPT. The data was analyzed and the clinical examination was contrast studied,which were divided into seven groups.ResultsPutting DSM-â…£as gold standard,sensitivity and specificity for IVA-CPT were highest for 7.0-,8.0- years old groups,next to for 6.0-,9.0- years old groups,and sensitivity and specificity for IVA-CPT were lower for 10.0-,11.0-,12.0-years old groups.Both of them no significance of difference though X~2 variance analysis.There were significance of difference though X~2 variance analysis in subtypes of ADHD by two different ways.Coincidence both of them are high at diagnosis on children with PI ADHD.Conclusion1.IVA-CPT is an good assisted tool for effective diagnosis of ADHD,which is better in 7.0-,8.0-years old groups.It should be generally diagnosed by DSM-â…£or other scale except IVA-CPT for younger and older groups.2.At diagnosis in subtypes of ADHD,we suggest that IVA-CPT is an assisted tool for effective diagnosis of ADHD in PI.We should be very cautious at diagnosis of ADHD in other subtypes by IVA-CPT.
