| IntroductionHypoxia-inducible factor-1αis important transcription regulation regulatory factor for body cells to adapt to hypoxia.When tissuess'oxygen is poor, hypoxia-inducible factor-1αwill play transcription and gene regulation role, hypoxia-inducible factor-1αcan up-regulate vascular endothelial growth factor, vascular endothelial growth factor can induce vascularization's generation.This article detect the gene's expression of HIF-1αand VEGF in human intervertebral discus and different meanings of the expression in different groups.Materials and MethodsDetecting the expression of HIF-1αand VEGF in intervertebral discs by SABC immunohistochemical staining and statisticsing data by the micrograhy analysis system.ResultsThe high expression of HIF-1αand VEGF was found in degenerated intervertebral disc tissues.The expression of HIF-1αand VEGF is higher in nucleus pulposus than anulus fibrosus.The expression of HIF-1αand VEGF is higher in broken anulus fibrosus group than anulus fibrosus complete group.HIF-1αexpression was positive correlated with VEGF expression in both groups. ConclusionsBoth HIF-1αand VEGF have a role in the course of intervertebral disc degeneration. It's possible that HIF-1αinduce VEGF's high expression , VEGF induce new vascular emerging in intervertebral disc tissues to postpone intervertebral disc degeneration. |
