Observation On Therapeutic Effect Of Jiawei Simiaotang And Sihuangsan In The Treatment Of Acute Gouty Arthritis

ObjectiveGouty arthritis is due to purine metabolic disorder,the body produce too much uric acid or excretion decrease,resulting in salt crystallization of uric acid deposition cause inflammation.Along with the change of eating habits and the duration of life,the prevalence of hyperuricacidemia and gout is increasing year by year,and acute gouty arthritis and the gout insulting repeatly induce to joints malformation seriously,which influences patients' quality of lives.Western medicine to cure the disease there is no way,acute gouty arthritis treatment is based mainly on anti-inflammatory,although quickly eases the symptoms,but often there stimulates the gastrointestinal tract,skin rash,bone marrow suppression,liver and kidney damage,such as more side effects,The clinical application subject to certain restrictions.This study objective is to approach the clinic therapeutic effect,safe and adverse effect of the Jiawei Simiaotang and Sihuangsan that be used to treat the acute gouty arthritis,to search for a more safe treating method of traditional Chinese medicine,by settingup control group and comparing interclass transversally of the pretherapy and posttherapy,by rigorous randomized comparison clinical trial,scientific evaluation criteria.MethodsThis study was designed as a random,placebo controlled clinical trial. eighty acute gouty arthritis' patients were average divided randomly into treatment group and control group.The treatment group were given Jiawei Simiaotang and Sihuangsan,the control group were given Celebrex Capsule.The treatmeng course was seven days.And all patients have been treated according to the exerting factors definitely,observed the symptoms of joint pain, stiffness,red swelling and dysfunction,and laboratory indexs of UA,ESR and CRP,hepatic and renal function,according to the gouty curative effect and the adverse effect observation' s tables.After the treatment course,the available date were collected,then be done through statistics,and assessed the two groups' symptoms,physical signs' integral,and laboratory indexs, appreciated the therapeutic effect an the adverse effect completely.Results1.The total effective rate:the treatment group is 95.0%,the control group is 97.5%,and the two groups have no statistical significant(P＞0.05).2.The symptoms,physical signs' integral and ESR,CRP indexs:for both of the groups the intra group comparison has statistical significant(P＜0.05) before and after treatment,but the inter comparison has no statistical significant(P＞0.05).3.UA index:for the treatment group the intra group comparison has statistical significant(P＜0.05);for.the control group has no statistical significant(P＞0.05);but the inter comparison has no statistical significant (P＞0.05).4.The adverse effects:In the two groups no abnormalities were found in the three routine examinations,Hepatic function,renal function.None had adverse reaction in the treatment group,and two had abdominal distension and poor appetite in the control group.ConclusionsJiawei Simiaotang and Simiansan not only significantly improves the joints function of the acute gouty arthritis,but also obviously cuts down the UA level.Its total effective rate is identified with the control group,with light adverse effect which shows a great clinical using prospect.
