Research objectives:This topic has observated the changes of blood lipid and vascular structural abnormality by CDFI, and attempted to discuss the pathogenesis of Vertigo in vertebrobasilar insufficiency of syndrome of phlegm-dampness. blocking collaterals. To provide the quantitative standard for clinical micro-differentiation of TCM.Research methods:117 inpatients with wertebrobasilar arterial insufficiency from Guangdong Province Hospital of TCM from 2007/5-2008/3 and 43 cases were selected. The bolld lipid of quizzes was detected with exsanguinating. was detected with CDFI. The blood lipid , vascular structural abnormality and bolld fluctuation exponent of patients of different sex was compared at the different ages in the two groups.Using SPSS 13.0 statistical software to the results for statistical analysis.Research results :The result of the comparison between two groups show that:(1)The TC, TG and LDL-C of patients with VBI were higher than those in healthy control group, P<0. 05. There was no difference among the two grous, P>0. 05. (2) The blood lipid of different sex was compared at the different ages in the two groups:In <50 years old group, there was no difference among the females in the different groups, P>0. 05. The TG, LDL-C of males patients with VBI were higher than the other group (P<0. 05), also were higher than the females patients in the same age. In 50-70 years old group, the TG, LDL-C of male patients were higher than those in healthy control group, as all blood lipids of female patients were(P<0.05). (3)The change of vascular structural abnormality of patients with VBI incloud: vascular became thin uniformly(35.9%, Dysplasia of Vertebral Artery is 12.82%, Asymmetnic of VA is 23.08%), Atherosclerotic Stenosis(9.4%). (4)Both diameter of VA in VBI group were less than those in healthy control group, and their atherosclerosis and atherosclerosis plaque were seriously. (5)There were significant differences of PSV and RI between the normal diameter and vertebral artery stenosis, suggested that diameter's size had influence on the PSV and RI of vertebral artery. (6)According to the logistic analysis, TG, PSV of right VA and left CCA, were the risk factors for Vertigo in vertebrobasilar insufficiency of syndrome of phlegm-dampness blocking collaterals.Research conclusions:(1)The results of this study showed that, the lipids disorder of patients of Vertigo in vertebrobasilar insufficiency of syndrome of phlegm-dampness blocking collaterals was more seriously than those in healthy control group. TC, TG and LDL-C were increased in different degree. It had suggested that there was a close relationship between the lipids disorder and the Vertigo in vertebrobasilar insufficiency of syndrome of phlegm-dampness blocking collaterals. TC, TG and LDL-C can used as one of the objecetive index in microcosmic syndrome differentiation of phlegm-turbid syndrome. (2) Atherosclerosis and Dysplasia of Vertebral Artery were two of the most impotant reason for Vertigo in vertebrobasilar insufficiency of syndrome of phlegm-dampness blocking collaterals, which both could cause hemodynamic changes and vertebralbasilar artery ischemia.
