| Objective: To evaluate laparoscopic total mesorectal excision (TME) on male sexual function. Methods: 11 routine laparoscopic TME (LTME group) and 24 regular open TME (OTME) of male sexual function in patients with a follow-up and score, the two groups follow-up rates were 90.9% (10/11) and 91.7% (22/24). Results: The two groups of patients with erectile dysfunction score decreased, LTME group preoperative 23.00±2.404, after 16.70±7.889 (P <0.05); OTME group preoperative 20.59±4.415, after 15.91±6.055 (P <0.05). Preoperative and postoperative erectile function score between the two groups compared there was no significant difference (P> 0.05). The postoperative ejaculation dysfunction rates of LTME group and OTME group were 30.0% (3/10) and 27.3% (6 / 22), the two groups had no significant difference (P> 0.05). Conclusion: LTME and OTME are considerable on the impact of male sexual function. |
