Objective:To explore the status of cognitive function and correlated factors of the coal worker's pneumoconiosis patients.Methods:Questionnaire investigation of cognitive function was performed in 290 coal worker's pneumoconiosis patients(CWP,group),840 coal workers without coal worker's pneumoconiosis(control group).CWP patients,from a coal mine in Shanxi providence,were definited by the CWP diagnose organize of Shanxi providence during 1987-1992,and at that time,they were normal cognitive function without hypertension,diabetes,cardiac and cerebra vascular disease,depression,mental disease.Comparing with the CWP and control group,there was no significant difference in working environment,exposed duration,age.The cognitive function was examined by neuropsychological tests and the related factors of the agers were studied by cross-sectional study.The questionnaire included:①Mini-mental state examination;②Activity of daily living;③Montreal cognitive assessment;④Hamilton depression scale.Results:①The abnormal incedence of MMSE in the CWP group is higher than this in the control group(P<0.001 ).②The abnormal incedence of MoCA in the CWP group is higher than this in the control group(P<0.001).③The consequence of laboratory examination in the CWP and the control group,Haemoglobin(HB)were significantly higher than those in the control group respectively(P<0.001);Fasting plasma glucose(FPG),Triglyceride(TG) were significantly lower than those in the control group respectively(P<0.001);Total cholesterol (TC),High-density lipoproteins(HDL),Low Density Lipoprotein(LDL) were no significant difference in the CWP and the control group(P>0.05).④The scole of HAMD was no significantly difference in the CWP and the control group(P>0.05).MMSE and MoCA in the CWP group were significantly lower than those in the control group respectively(P<0.001);the scole of ADL was significantly higher in the CWP group(P<0.001);⑤The scoles of every agent of MoCA in the CWP group,visuospatial,delayed recall,attention,calculation,language, executive,orientation were significantly lower than those in the control group respectively(P<0.001),only the scole of naming was no significantly difference(P>0.05);⑥Logistic regression shows that,the abnormality of MMSE has significantly correlated with CWP,stroke,smoking,and pulmonary function impaire(P<0.001);OR:4.038,7.208,1.253,2.699;⑦Logistic regression shows that,the abnormality of MoCA has significantly correlated with CWP,stroke,and pulmonary function impaire(P<0.001),OR:13.277,1.532,3.234. Conclusion:The coal worker's pneumoconiosis patients have cognitive dysfunction,and have impaired daily life.The cognitive dysfunction was correlated with the CWP,stroke,smoking and pulmonary function impaire. |
