Research On Radiation Sensitizer Role Of CMNa In Esophageal Carcer With Three-dimensional Conformal Radiotherapy (3DCRT)

Objective:To investigate radiosensitivity and side-effect of CMNa in esophageal carcinoma with three dimensional conformal radiotherapy(3DCRT).Method:A analysis was carried out using clinical data of 82 cases with esophageal carcinoma,who received three dimensional conformal radiotherapy from July of 2006 to April of 2007,46 men and 36 women,age from 41 to 47,average 57.They were randomized into three groups:CMNa group,DDP group and only radiotherapy group.All patients in the three groups received three dimensional conformal radiotherapy.The method of treatment:the patients in CMNa group were treated by intravenous infusion of CMNa 800mg/m~2 diluted in 100 mL sodium chloride.The radiotherapy was carried out 60 minutes after each infusion on Monday,Wednesday and Friday.DDP was used with 10mg diluted in 250 mL sodium chloride daily from Monday to Friday in the first and second week,and the fifth and sixth week repeatedly.The method of radiotherapy:Every patient was set on treatment position and symbolled.After breast enhancement scan at CT,image information was transported to treatment plan system(TPS).We marked the target and made plan,which constituted 3-6 fields.Treatment plan was evaluated by dose volume histogram(DVH)to ensure peripheral normal tissue and sensitive tissue to receive the dose within a permitted extent.3DCRT was worked on 6MeV liner accelerator at a dose of 200cGy/fraction for 5 fractions/week with a total dosage of 60- 68Gy/ 30-34 times/6-7 weeks.Results:the rate of CR had a significant difference between CMNa group and only radiotherapy group(P＜0.05),the rate of RR had no significant difference yet(P＞0.05).The 1-year survival rate of CMNa group was 80%,which was higher than the other two groups.But the incidence rate was not found different among the three groups(P＞0.05).The leukocyte fall,digestive response,liver and renal function in CMNa group was lower than DDP group(P＜0.05).Conclusion:CMNa had radiosensitivity,but there was no significant difference with DDP groups.The side-effect in the DDP group was more severe than CMNa group.
