| Cephalometric analysis is always a persistent subject.From the pristine to the new methods which had been developed gradually,cephalometric analysis had experienced nearly 80 years,and it has become one of the most important tools of clinical work and research in orthodontics and orthognathic surgery.Delaire architectural analysis has been emphasized more and more over the world these years.One of the most prominent characteristics is considering the cranio-maxilla-facial-cervicum skeletal structure as an integrated"architectural complex"in the physiological state,and the components will achieve biomechanics equilibrium by mutual influence.The objective of this study is to establish normal Delaire architectural analysis database of the Han nationality adults with normal occlusion in Chongqing,and explore the cranio-maxillo-facial skeletal structure features.These data were compared with Korean and French and will be also prepared for designing a software in future which could be used to analyze dentofacial dysmorphosis.In this study,78 adults were choosed.The lateral cephalogram of each normal adults were traced,digitized,measured by Winceph8.0 software including 28 points,13 assisted lines and 22 measurements. The following results of statistical analysis can be showed from this investigation:1.The characteristics of cranio-maxillary-facial skeletal structure between male and female in Chongqing district is similar.2.Compared with the Chongqing male,the gonial angle and mandibular plane of Korean are relatively anticlockwise rotated.And the profile of Korean male is relatively flat.3.The characteristics of cranio-maxillo-facial skeletal structure of female between Chongqing and Korean were similar.4.The comparison has revealed statistically significant differences between European and Asian.5.Establishing the normal database of cranio-maxillo-facial skeletal structure of Chongqing adults with Delaire architectural analysis.6.Proved that correcting dentofacial dysmorphosis with Delaire architecture analysis is an effective way to improving the patients'profile and function,maintaining the long-time stability after treatment. |
