| Under systematically summarizing chemical composition, pharmacological action,clinical application,resources of wild black bears and development of industry of artificial breeding bears,this study developed a rapid and validated HPLC method for simultaneous determination of ursodeoxycholic acid and chenocholic acid in the powder of black bear which has made a breakthrough in resolution,sensitivity, analytical speed compared to that of past studies.The powder of black bear of different month were collected separately from Heibao Bear Factory of Heilongjiang(HB),Yebao Bear Factory of Heilongjiang(YB),Senye Bear Factory of Liaoning(SY),Bear Factory of Institute of animal and plant of Sichuan(IB)and Bear Factory of Ruihe Pharmaceutical Company of Yunnan(RH).The developed method was successfully applied to studies of accumulation principles of ursodeoxycholic acid and chenocholic acid in the powder of black bear of different places of production and different months,the results showed that the relative content of ursodeoxycholic acid and chenocholic acid in the powder of black bear in IB and RH were 38.06%±2.8%and 42.49%±1.48%,36.26%±2.19%and 39.46%±2.43%which were significantly high compared to that of other factories(30.11%±2.8%and 42.47%±2.88%of HB, 32.02%±2.26%and 38.28%±1.43%of YB,33.06%±2.06%and 38.83%±5.37%of SY),and the content of ursodeoxycholic acid and chenocholic acid in IB and RH did not obviously change during the year,however,the contents of other three factories is significantly correlated with seasons, which is higher in summer and autumn,and lower in winter and spring, which may be attributed to difference of climate,food,method of collecting bile,production method of the powder of bear,and technology of drainaging operation.
